The Seven Year Itch

This morning, one thing led to another when I ended up checking my best photos posted on Instagram – best referring to those which got more “likes”.

It turns out it is an interesting exercice and tells you a lot about one particular year, in terms of what mattered particularly.

So here it is….

Best 2014

I spy with my little eye…

New York, Barcelona, my former life in Marseille, my freshly rescued baby Jack Russell…

Best of 2015

I spy with my little eye…

The Charlie and Batclan attacks trauma, the end of my time in provence, the beginning of a new life in Brittany

Best of 2016

I spy with my little eye…

Brittany with all its coulours and weather changes.

Best of 2017

I spy with my little eye…

More blue sky, more happiness, and an amazing trip to Sydney.

Best of 2018

I spy my my little eye…

Pictures from around the world: Marseille, Helsinki, Paris, Cobh, Japan, home… Bliss.

Best of 2019

I spy with my little eye…

A lot of time spent at sea, and some urban shots to refuel.

Best of 2020

I spy with my little eye…

Food, travels and very few photos from home (ironically…)

To be continued…

  1. these are gorgeous shots, it’s lovely to look back at years in photos… every capture becomes even more meaningful with time… 🙂 I’m looking forward to your 2020 grid 🙂

  2. Lovely photos! It’s really cool to look back on the memories you’ve made over the years, even year to year! Hoping that 2020 will still be a fruitful one, even with the situation at hand…bonne journée!

    1. Merci. Fruitful… I don’t know… Right now, 2020 looks like the cherry tree we planted a few years ago: it blossoms, full of promises, then at the end of Spring the wind blows suddenly so hard that we’re left with just one -or none!! – ripe cherry!!!🤪
