March 2021… We’ve made it! More or less one whole year of COVID!
As the world continues to grapple with coronavirus pandemic, some countries seem to have it under control (well done New Zealand, Australia, Singapore…). As far as France is concerned we’re still deep into restrictive measures and sinister perspectives!
But thanks to blogging and social media, I’ve managed to keep my window open to the world. The little videos we’ve put together with Bloggers With a View helped me greatly (keeping me busy with filming, editing, and interacting).
For the last vlog of this epic winter 2021, I wanted to focus on what’s good in our lives. I’ve asked our little community to show me what “goodness” meant these days.
I hope you’ll like the next 3 minutes. They are filled with snowy fun days, sunny coastal walks, plenty of outdoors happiness and also gratefulness for those who work very hard to keep us healthy alive (special thanks to Sarah on this one).
A big thank you to the contributors on this one:
Janis, San Diego California (retirementallychallenged.com)
Pam, Boulders Colorado (…I Choose This…)
Tanja, Split Croatia (theredphoneboxtravels.com)
Usha, London UK (coindesbobby.com)
Jules, Smith Rock Sate Park in Terrabonne Oregon (gojulesgo.com)
Donna, Parksville in Central Vancouver Island Canada (retirementreflections.com)
Angela, Winnipeg Canada (travelworldsuitcase.com)
Amanda, Australia (Something to Ponder About)
Sarah, London UK (Travel With Me)
Tony and Margie, Canada (Back Roads and Other Stories)
Music is played by Rebecca (Rebecca Goes Rendezvous) + Hollywood clip 😉
Previous BWaV vlogs can be watched here with the prompts market day, morning, path and windows!
And here is a little bonus clip edited by Sarah. I didn’t have time to add it to the final video but the message is important and could not skip it. What’s goodness if it isn’t shared?
That’s it for me. The coming weeks will be busy and I won’t be around much.
Take care of you,
xxx
What a fun video! Hopefully, we can dump this virus totally this year!

Great job spreading goodness around the world! This is such a fun, inspiring project. Even though we all want to get out and about again, these little windows to the world help… a lot.

That’s definitely the plan of this all. So glad many new bloggers like yourself felt they wanted to join in. That’s an amazing feeling!

Wow! This one is the best so far. For numbers of contributors and the message it sends. So much goodness in the world around us, the simple act of sliding down a snowy slope (my favourite) or making a snow angel, to running around and cuddling our pets. Interesting that our dogs feature in a few of the videos. It has been a beautiful collaboration and so pleased to be a part of it.
Take care, Vero. Thank you for your work.

Thank you for sharing this video! Very honored to have played the audio track and contributed this time around. I hope being occupied these next couple of weeks (and months) will be good for you; enjoy the time out there as you can! Spring is just around the corner, after all. Prends soin de toi!

Your music is really adding something to this video. It’s more joyful than the previous ones I edited. SO thank you for that.
My numerous projects for the post Covid world (or so I hope!!!) seem to be coming together gradually and I can sort of begin to see a very little light at the end of the tunnel!
Prends soin de toi aussi et à très vite.

Wow, you’ve done such a brilliant job pulling all these disparate clips together?! It’s so great to see everyone’s different interpretations of the theme become a coherent whole 🙂 And thanks for also showcasing my late (and duplicate 😆 ) effort!

Just like you I love how that theme has been interpreted in so many different ways.
I hope you’re doing ok. How are you coping with lockdown? It’s been what? 2 months now?

A bit over 2 months – it started straight after Christmas (and in the London area actually a couple of weeks before Christmas!) The first small step out is tomorrow when the kids go back to school but that won’t impact us personally – unless it affects progress in reducing infections. From 29th March we can meet friends out of doors, so I may get to see my sister at Easter! The main impact for us won’t be until 12th April (at the earliest) when outdoor hospitality and a range of other things all open up. We have a reservation for lunch at our local pub (garden only) for the 12th and I have a hair appointment for the 13th – so exciting!!

Wow I really love that gratefulness video. We have been very busy in Haute Savoie the last 4 weeks with school holiday makers enjoying what the mountains have to offer instead of skiing.. You can tell everyone has finally left today.. emptyness really..!!

Thank you so much Lisa.
So, do you prefer your little corner of the world completely empty and quiet or crowded and lively?

A good question.. But bustling is wonderful for the winter season.. fast paced, exciting and then by April really a huge sigh of relief that we have some weeks before the summer madness starts.. I have enjoyed just this year having the slopes so empty and to ourselves.. Enjoying it as it will never happen again.. 😉

Bloggers with a view !!!Check out my video contribution for Vero’s Bloggers with a View initiative. It a way of connecting to the outside and other parts of the world. I have contributed a Snowy view from my window and the Goodness of having someone to watch it with.
I love this initiative and am so glad I could join in. It so reminds me of the book The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie society, where they joined in to read some books, for a connection to the outside world , a connection to other human beings. Connecting with outside world and others is so vital in these strange days.
Goodness of the blogging Community and thanks for Vero s Initiative.
